Wedding day, Inn on the Lake, Glenridding
The weather for Sarah & Tony’s wedding day at the Inn on the Lake was overcast and rather windy.
They brought their family and friends up from Lancashire not just for their wedding, but also to say farewell before emigrating to Spain.
We arrived 90 minutes before the ceremony was to commence. Thus providing plenty of time to visit the bridal room.
They atmosphere was relaxed and Sarah was lovely and chatty.
Photographer Karen Jones was also helpfull and eager to assist which I found refreshing.
The seven bridesmaids walked elegantly from the hotel to the gazebo. They wore striking lemon over the shoulder dresses, each carrying a yellow rose.
Sarah wore a while wedding dress, and carried a bouquet of yellow roses. She walked up the isle (gazebo path) with her father Ian.
The 11 minute ceremony included a wonderful poem by two of the bridesmaids.
The groom wore a tiny radio microphone. It was a smart move because the sound from the camera was noisy due to the wind.
Following the signing of the register, the Bride & Groom walked to the lake for photographs, while their guests made their way back to the hotel for drinks on the forecourt.
The lake was rough and windy, with the odd spot of rain. However, this did not hamper Karen or myself.
Their speeches were both funny and poignant as Sarah and Tony were emegrating to Spain within 48 hours.
The evening celebration commenced with video highlights shown on the DJ Projection Booth and set to the Stone Roses.
Afterwards everyone danced with Mr & Mrs Booth to ‘Happy Together’ by The Turtles.
Sarah & Tony’s wedding day celebration was mapped out with a fabulous playlist.
