Written Agreements

• For "peace of mind" we always send written agreements, and ask for a 50% reservation fee.

What kind of music do you play?

• We play a vast selection of music from the 1920s to the present day.
  Our DJ's have specialist knowledge of many music areas: Chart, Dance, Indie, Rock, RnB, Disco, Pop, 60’s, 70s, 80s, 90s, and 2000s.

Do you accept requests?

• We encourage our clients to make use of their personal on-line client area, where you can make prior to the night music request lists.
  We then guarentee your requests will be played on the night.

Can we request the music for our bridal dances?

• Yes, we always invite the Bride and Groom to choose their favorite song, to be played during the "bridal dance".
  We then take care of all the pre-announcements allowing your guests to have those cameras at the ready!

Sound Quality

• Because only the best is good enough, we use Nexo speaker systems. Nexo are world renown for their superb sound quality.
   
  Our amplification is made by German company, Camco. Our mixers are made by Allen and Heath UK.

Volume

• Here at Motiv-8 we are conscious of volume differences between different songs. We therefore multi-band compress (live) the volume in seven frequency bands, to give smooth consistant volume levels, yet still keeping the musical dynamics.
  It is the same process The BBC use to keep the volume at a constant level on radio.

How long do you need to set up?

• Were normally at the venue approximately 45 minutes before the event is due to start, this gives us plenty of time to set-up.
  We require an area approx. 3m x 2m for the Advanced Disco.

How Many Of You Will Attend?

• Just the DJ.

What will the DJ wear?

• Our Attire is a smart casual dress shirt, tie and black trousers.

Do You Need A Deposit?

• We require a 50% reservation fee, with the balance due 14 days prior to your celebration.

What about Health & Safety

• Health and safety is extremely important to us all. Our equipment is electronically (PAT) tested annually in accordance with the Electricity at Work Act 1989.
  A copy of our certificates are provided with every contract.

Will you play "cheesy" songs?

• We get this question asked almost daily. Firstly, we play the music you want. However, although the "Birdie Song" is listed on our database, it is not included on our DJ systems for reasons of taste and credibility.
